Switching all of our chicken wasn’t a simple decision. Certified Humane, Halal, Antibiotic-Free chicken costs more. It’s harder to source. And honestly, most people wouldn’t notice if we didn’t make the change. But we’d notice.
When we started RollPlay, my mom always reminded me: “Don’t get sick—it’s too expensive.” That stuck with me. It’s why we went seed-oil free. It’s why we simmer our broth for 48 hours. And it’s why we couldn’t settle for chicken that didn’t meet our standards.
We’ve always believed Vietnamese comfort food should be for everyone. Now it really is.

Our egg rolls got a makeover. Same crispy wrapper, same bold flavor—now made with halal, antibiotic-free chicken. Fried in avocado oil, never seed oils.

Better chicken deserves better cooking.
We cook with avocado oil and fry in Zero Acre oil—no canola, no soybean, no vegetable oil anywhere. Even our mayo is seed-oil free. We were the first Vietnamese restaurant to go 100% seed-oil free, and we’re proud of that.
All the crispy, none of the inflammatory oils.
Why We Made This Change
We didn’t make this change for a headline. We didn’t do it because it was easy—it wasn’t. We made it because it’s the kind of food we want to feed our own families.
My mom taught me that taking care of yourself starts with what you eat. That’s been the heart of RollPlay since day one. We’ve always believed that Vietnamese comfort food can be craveable and nourishing at the same time. This upgrade is just the latest step in that journey.
