We want to tell you about a change we’re really proud of, one that starts on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley. You may have noticed our wings got an upgrade recently. Bigger, crispier, better. But the real story isn’t just the size, it’s where they come from now.
MEET FARMER FOCUS
After months of working closely with our friends at The Organic Butcher of McLean, we found a farm that meets both our demand and our standards: Farmer Focus, based in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Every chicken from Farmer Focus is:
- No Antibiotics Ever (NAE)
- Halal-certified
- Certified Humane®
- Fully traceable, back to the family farm that raised it
WHY NAE MATTERS
Here’s something we learned along the way. A lot of places use terms like “antibiotic-free,” but not all of those claims are verified the same way. Many are backed by paperwork alone, with no farm inspection.
NAE, or No Antibiotics Ever, is a higher standard. It means exactly what it says: the chicken never received antibiotics at any point in its life. And when it comes from a farm that’s fully traceable like Farmer Focus, you know the story behind every wing.
THIS IS WHAT WE MEAN BY DOING THINGS RIGHT
We could have kept things the way they were. But better sourcing is worth the effort, and you deserve to know exactly what’s in your food and where it comes from. That’s always been our standard, and it always will be.
